“MAXWELL”  I am told this Wade Pig is called Maxwell.  This is one of a set of five pigs made by Wade   After buying Maxwell locally I started searching for the other four pigs to this collection.  Made in England this portly gent standing with blue pants with suspenders and a red and white tie. Coin slot is in the back of his head and the coin release is on the bottom with a rubber plug. Marked in the mold is “WADE ENGLAND” and the stopper is marked “NATWEST”  He measures 6 1/2″ tall x 5 1/4″ long x 4 1/2″ deep.  Porcelain in excellent condition added to collection March 18 /16 purchased at Saskatoon gun clubs collectors show.   Value $35.00 to $55.00   I now have the full collection of five banks These banks were added to my collection through numerous purchases on E Bay April 5th. to 11th. 2016  Excellent condition value $35.00 to $55.00 for Wade production  $500.00 for Sunshine original production run. (except Woody who had a run of 100,000 banks.)  Sunshine produced only 400 of each of the other four banks which make those Rare.   Sunshine started production in 1982 and stopped in 1983 unable to keep up with the demand the contract was turned over to Wade who supplied the banks until  the end of the promotion in 1989.   G

This family of five characters; Sir Nathaniel Westminster the father, Lady Hillary the mother, Maxwell the boy, Annabel the girl and Woody the baby, were given to children holding accounts with the Bank, depending on the balance achieved. The characters have become real collectors pieces and appear regularly on the internet auction sites. NatWest stopped the promotion in 1989
